With a career spanning over three decades, Hamilton has established himself as a versatile and passionate musician, equally adept at leading his own bands or serving as a sideman for national and international touring artists. Herb Bruce, celebrated as “Mr. Versatile” of the trombone for his effortless mastery across any musical style, brings a lifetime of global performances and recordings to the label. A distinguished professional trombonist, Bruce has performed for millions worldwide, including stints as a staff musician and band leader for Walt Disney World, where he led ensembles from intimate small groups to full-size orchestras and contributed to countless Disney Studio recording sessions. He served as leader of the Main Street Rhythm Rascals at Walt Disney World and one of the leaders of Rosie O’Grady’s Goodtime Jazz Band at Church Street Station in Orlando. His illustrious military career in the U.S. Army included roles as Staff Officer/Reserve liaison in the office of the Chief – US Army Bands, Director of jazz ensembles for the 202nd and 440th Army Bands, and three staff tours at The Navy School of Music in Little Creek, Virginia. Bruce has also advanced music education as Assistant Director of Bands for Vanderbilt University and Instructor of Trombone at Blair School of Music. Bruce’s discography boasts five solo CDs, including the acclaimed album Herbicide, embodying “The Greatest Music You Never Heard”™.

He has shared stages and studios with legends such as Big Tiny Little, Boots Randolph, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé, Backstreet Boys, Bob Hope, Jimmy Dorsey, Wayne Newton, Nelson Riddle, Liza Minelli, The Four Freshmen, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Al Hirt, Burt Bacharach, Bernadette Peters, Les Brown, Jackie Evancho, Amy Grant, and Frank Sinatra, Jr. His tours and recordings extend to ensembles like Tommy Dorsey, Michael Feinstein, The Nashville Brass, The Jack Daniels Silver Cornet Band, The Dukes of Dixieland, Spiritual to the Bone, Premiere Salvation Army Brass Bands, and The Central Florida Brass Band.

Orchestral highlights include principal trombone with the Venice (FL) Symphony, alongside appearances with the Buffalo Symphony, Louisville Orchestra, The Sarasota Orchestra, The Orlando Symphony, and The Florida Orchestra. Bruce has also brought his talent to sports spectacles with The Green Bay Packers Band, Harlem Globetrotters, Atlanta Braves, Kentucky Colonels (ABA), Memphis Grizzlies (WFL), and Hector “Macho” Camacho. Television and film credits feature ABC’s Wide World of Sports, Country Music Association Awards Show Dove, The Dinah Shore Show, “Shazaam” starring Shaquille O’Neal, Ringling Brothers Circus Specials, Nashville Now, Nashville Tonight, and the Siskel & Ebert 500th Show Anniversary “What Comes Around” starring Jerry Reed.As an Artist Representative for Boosey & Hawkes Company, the Mirafone Corporation, and the Lawler Trombone Company, and now proudly representing Herb Bruce Custom Trombones, Bruce’s recordings include collaborations with The Backstreet Boys, Hank Williams Jr., Boots Randolph, and The Nashville Brass, as well as traditional jazz outfits like the Dukes of Dixieland, Pepper & Fine Thyme, Bill Allred’s Classic Jazz Band, and Igor’s Jazz Cowboys.
