Acclaimed Fingerstyle Guitarist and Storyteller Debuts “Singer-Songwriter Bluesman” on Innovative Direct-to-Fan Platform

St. Petersburg, Florida – November 5, 2025 – BoneHead Records is thrilled to announce the launch of Singer-Songwriter Bluesman, the acclaimed 2001 digital album from legendary blues artist Roy Book Binder. Available now for streaming and digital download at $20.00, this collection of songs showcases Book Binder's masterful fingerstyle guitar work, heartfelt storytelling, and deep-rooted blues heritage—bringing fans closer than ever to one of America's unsung musical treasures. Roy Book Binder has been a wandering troubadour for over 45 years, trading his Greenwich Village apartment in the early 1970s for life on the road in his custom "Tour Bus."

A protégé of the Reverend Gary Davis, with whom he traveled in the late 1960s, Book Binder has shared stages and stories with icons like Pink Anderson, Robert Lockwood, Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, J.J. Cale, Hot Tuna, and Bonnie Raitt. His debut solo acoustic blues album in the 1970s earned a rare five-star review in DownBeat magazine. Book Binder's career highlights include nearly 30 appearances on Nashville Now with Ralph Emery, a feature on the Grand Ole Opry during Bonnie Raitt's East Coast tour, and a spotlight on PBS specials. Interviewed by Terry Gross on NPR's Fresh Air, he has also been a fixture at Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch, where he teaches alongside the Jefferson Airplane co-founder—who even recorded two of Book Binder's originals.

Now, the celebrated 2001 release Singer-Songwriter Bluesman arrives digitally on BoneHead Records as a testament to Book Binder's evolution as a singer-songwriter, blending raw acoustic blues with introspective narratives drawn from a lifetime of highways, festivals, and front porches.

“Founded by acclaimed Tampa Bay bassist, vocalist, and producer Tom "TBone" Hamilton, BoneHead Records is a digital haven for the "greatest music you never heard." With a mission to preserve and amplify the legacies of extraordinary artists often overlooked by mainstream channels, the platform empowers musicians to connect directly with fans—no middlemen, just pure music and unfiltered access to downloads and physical shipments. Tom "TBone" Hamilton, whose own career spans over three decades with bands like The Swinging Johnsons, The Hamilton-Harris Project, and his namesake TBone Hamilton Band, has long championed the blues, jazz, and Americana scenes.

A prolific performer and producer with credits including Get A Life, Duck, and A Tribute to Willie Dixon, Hamilton launched BoneHead Records in August 2025 to honor collaborators like the late Bryan Lee (the "Braille Blues Daddy"). Book Binder's addition marks another milestone in the label's rapid growth. Roy Book Binder isn't just a musician—he's a living archive of American roots music, with stories and riffs that could fill a dozen tour buses," said Hamilton. "Over my 30+ years in the trenches, I've crossed paths with giants like Roy, and his talent deserves to roar louder than ever. We're overjoyed to welcome Singer-Songwriter Bluesman to BoneHead Records, giving fans the chance to own a piece of blues history straight from the source."
