TBone Hamilton and the Blues All Stars

TBone Hamilton and the Blues All Stars played H’ours Creole for our l3rd Saturday of the month house gig. As with Florida, we’re always concerned about the weather in the rain when you play outside. But luckily for us it did not rain other than a little bit of sprinkles here and there. We are covered under the tent that our saxophone player Eric Mullins is in charge of, so we stay nice and dry. It didn’t rain too much and the people outside really dug it. The band is coming together nicely we’ve been together for a couple years as a unit and you can always tell when a band gets tighter and tighter and we are definitely there. We’re excited about the future because we are writing original material into the set and looking towards doing a recording. There are a lot of people at H’ours Creole tonight. Probably do that to the graduations. We found out at the end of the gig that there was a gentleman from New Orleans who was celebrating his 82nd birthday. He daughter was disappointed that we had stopped. So I had the guys go inside with me and we did some 3/2 Clave claps I did a second line happy birthday for the gentleman! The people were super happy we did an a cappella version and that’s the way you do it. Both of those people were from New Orleans and Baton Rouge. And we were talking about all the great musicians there. Thanks to my sister I really learned a lot about New Orleans over the course of my life. There is something about it that I really like.
