The Hamilton Harris Project – Private Party

The Hamilton Harris Project was formed in 2003. The band, an offshoot from the successful Swinging Johnson’s band, was assembled by the co-leaders of the Johnsons – Tom “TBone” Hamilton and guitarist Dan Harris.  They added Michael Johnn Aloia on keyboard and B3, drummer standout Ken Loomer, and songstress Marilyn Freemon.

The HHP covers a lot of ground musically speaking. The band can play some straight ahead instrumental jazz from the song book of Monk, Coltrane, Montgomery, and then turn on a dime and play Texas blues, New Orleans funk, and set it off with vocals that swing, shuffle and groove.
